Benefits of Having a Backup Supplement Manufacturer

Although you may be quite happy with the service provided by your current supplement manufacturer, it is always advisable to have at least one backup manufacturer, for many reasons. A backup manufacturer is one that does not manufacture the bulk of your product line, but perhaps one or two products. By giving a manufacturer some business, even if it is not a lot, you can develop a relationship with them that provides a safety net if something should happen to your primary provider.

First and foremost, if you depend on one supplement manufacturer and they go out of business, you will be unable to restock your products. If this happens, your sales will suffer until you can find another manufacturer who can provide you with your product. However, if you have a backup manufacturer, they will be able to quickly provide you with your products, as you will already have some experience working with them. Plus, if you find a backup manufacturer prior to any mishap with your primary manufacturer, you will be able to answer any questions they have about manufacturing your products, resulting in a quicker delivery.

Also, if your primary supplement manufacturer is unable to provide you with a certain ingredient or simply cannot get a hold of an ingredient, then obviously they cannot make your product for you. In this case, it would be helpful to have a backup supplement manufacturer because then you have a better chance of locating the ingredient you need and having your product made in a timely manner. Many manufacturers order ingredients in large quantities, meaning a backup manufacturer may have the ingredient you need already in stock, eliminating the need to wait for your primary manufacturer to locate the desired ingredient.

Another reason to have a backup supplement manufacturer is to avoid delays and mishaps that occur as a result of natural forces. For example, if your manufacturer is in the North and there is a blizzard, they cannot receive shipments of ingredients, nor can they ship out your products. However, if you have a backup manufacturer located in the South, they will not have such impediments.

As another example, if something happens in the primary manufacturer’s factory, such as a fire, some of their equipment may be damaged and need to be repaired, meaning they can only provide you with part of your product line. A backup supplement manufacturer can make up for this loss and provide you with the necessary items.

For these reasons and more, it is a good idea to have a backup manufacturer. Call or e-mail Vitarich Laboratories today for more information on the benefits of having a backup supplement manufacturer.
