Occurring naturally, Resveratrol is found in many substances, especially red grape skin and even more so in Polygonum cuspidatum roots, a Chinese plant which is also called Hu-chang. The benefits of Resveratrol are virtually identical to that of such substances as red wine and grape juice, and many purport that the benefits of such substances come exclusively from their Resveratrol content. Some of these health benefits include higher resistance to cancer, antioxidant properties, and increased cardiac health.
