Stability Studies For Vitamins and Supplements

One of the ways we ensure that we manufacture the best products available is to perform stability studies. A stability study looks at many factors to determine how long the product will mantain its integrity once it is out of the controlled conditions of the laboratory. Advaced Stability Studies

The reason for conducting a stability study is to accurately determine shelf life. Determining the shelf life entails studying the interactions between the ingredients in the supplement, its packaging and the storage environment over varying amounts of time. Our studies check the physical, chemical, microbiological and sensory traits of the product.

  • Physical studies check for color retention, moisture, pH levels, and viscosity (if applicable)
  • Chemical studies determine the potency, evaluate rancidity indicators and the retention values, and interactions between the packaging and the product
  • A microbiological analysis checks the product for bacterial, yeast and mold growth
  • Sensory examinations check for unpleasant odors and flavors over time, as well as objectionable discoloration.

We submit your product to real-world conditions, such as heat, cold, light, humidity (high and low) and vibrations. Once the product has undergone numerous tests, we can safely determine the expiration date, to bring your customers optimum bioavailability.
